Munch Bowls are wholesome edible crisp wheat bowls giving an alternative to single-use plastic bowls used at on-the-go convenient food outlets and event catering.
The edible crisp wheat bowls can hold any food even hot soup for at least 1.5 hours.
The bowls have a shelf life of up to 15 months if stored sealed in cool dry place. If needed to restore crispness, place in oven for 3 - 5 minutes at 70° - 100° C
The bowls come in 3 sizes:
100% Biodegradable and Compostable: Made from natural ingredients, The Munch bowls are baked with the following ingredients - Stone ground unbleached wheat flour, digestive bran, salt sugar Infused with herbal Rooibos tea for its antioxidant and preservative qualities and the unique twist that adds flavour to the Munch Bowl.
No animal products, chemicals preservatives colorants yeast or GMO products are used in producing the edible bowls.
The Munch Bowls are being used for large scale events, celebrations and on the go food outlets as a means of disrupting the use of single use packaging.
Organic and GMO-Free: Our bowls are crafted from organic wheat flour and bran, ensuring they are safe and healthy for consumption.

We ship to the whole of South Africa. In Cape Town, we service a large part of the Peninsula through partnerships with local couriers. In the rest of the country, we make use of Cloud Logistics, TheCourierGuy, and various other couriers to deliver your products as soon as possible.
Please note that we are based in Bellville, Cape Town, and we do not have branches in other locations.
Parcels in and around Cape Town are normally the next day after shipping.
Parcels to the rest of the country and in major areas are normally delivered in 3-4 working days, although parcels to KwaZulu-Natal tend to take up to 4-5 days. Parcels to outlying towns and areas can take even longer, as these towns are normally not serviced every day.
Overnight delivery (only to certain areas) is available at an extra cost. Please contact us directly should this be required.
Days are calculated from when we confirmed the order is ready. All couriers work on a normal 5-day work week, excluding weekends and public holidays. Parcels are picked up at our premises in the afternoon, so orders received and fully paid by 12:00 are normally couriered the same day. (Note that EFTs must show in our bank accounts.)
You are also more than welcome to pick-up your order at The Deli, or to organise a courier to collect it from us. Pick-up can only happen once you have been notified that your order is ready. Pick-ups are Monday to Thursday, 08:00 till 18:00, and Fridays 08:00 till 16:00, excluding weekends and public holidays.
We offer free shipping* on orders over R 1 000 to any destination in South Africa.
* The following destinations might have a surcharge: Chain stores, Power stations, Hospitals, Plots & Farms.
For orders under R 1 000 we do charge shipping.
Cape Town and surrounding areas: R 80 / order
Rest of SA: R 100 / order
If you would prefer to make use of your own courier services or do a pick-up yourself, please indicate and contact us after you have placed the order. Once your order is ready you will be notified. Your courier needs to pick-up the parcel at Unit 9, Rosen Park, 23 Bella Rosa St, Rosenpark, Durbanville, 7550. Please see above for the normal pick-up times.
