Gluten Free Pasta Flour Mix
Make a ball of dough with an electric mixer and kneading hook by mixing all the ingredients all at once. (If mixing by hand mix all ingredient with a wooden spoon and continue kneading on the table when all water is absorbed.) If necessary, add 1 extra tbsp. of water at a time until the dough has the consistency of a smooth play dough.
Divide the dough into a few balls and flour them well. Roll out each ball as thin as possible. Dust the rolled dough sheet well with flour and roll it up. Hold the roll together with one hand while slicing little wheels off the end. Make the slices as wide as you want your pasta to be. Balance a dusted rolling pin on a bowl and unravel the pasta wheels. Hang the strips over the rolling pin.
Transfer the pasta into a large pot of rapidly boiling water and boil until al dente. (+- 5 minutes) Strain off the water. Add 30 ml of oil and toss to prevent the pasta from sticking together.
Recipe: 2 Cups Pasta Flour (500ml), 2 Eggs 2 tbsp oil (30ml), 6 tbsp Water (90ml), Egg Free Version: Replace the eggs with 2 tbsp of vinegar. Change the water to 10 tbsp (150ml)
We ship to the whole of South Africa. In Cape Town, we service a large part of the Peninsula through partnerships with local couriers. In the rest of the country, we make use of Cloud Logistics, TheCourierGuy, and various other couriers to deliver your products as soon as possible.
Please note that we are based in Bellville, Cape Town, and we do not have branches in other locations.
Parcels in and around Cape Town are normally the next day. South of Muizenberg and Hout Bay are serviced on Tuesdays and Thursdays, while Stellenbosch and the Helderberg area are serviced on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Parcels to the rest of the country and in major areas are normally delivered in 3-4 working days, although parcels to KwaZulu-Natal tend to take up to 4-5 days. Parcels to outlying towns and areas can take even longer, as these towns are normally not serviced every day.
Overnight delivery (only to certain areas) is available at an extra cost. Please contact us directly should this be required.
Days are calculated from when we confirmed the order is ready. All couriers work on a normal 5-day work week, excluding weekends and public holidays.
You are also more than welcome to pick-up your order at The Deli, or to organise a courier to collect it from us. Pick-up can only happen once you have been notified that your order is ready. Pick-ups are Monday to Thursday, 08:00 till 18:00, and Fridays 08:00 till 16:00, excluding weekends and public holidays.
We offer free shipping* on orders over R 1 000 to any destination in South Africa.
* The following destinations might have a surcharge: Chain stores, Power stations, Hospitals, Plots & Farms.
For orders under R 1 000 we do charge shipping.

If you would prefer to make use of your own courier services or do a pick-up yourself, please indicate and contact us after you have placed the order. Once your order is ready you will be notified. Your courier needs to pick-up the parcel at 9 Wyoming Street, Stellenridge, Bellville, Western Cape, 7530. Please see above for the normal pick-up times.
